Holden starts walking around, and once again, talks about Jane. He says how they were so close when they were younger and hung out almost everyday. They never did anything physical, except for one day when she was crying Holden kissed her all over the place. Jane was the best hand holder though, you never had to worry about it. They would go to movies and hold hands from start to finish. Jane is also the one person who knows about Allie and has seen the mitt(outside of family, that is.)
Response: I really think that Holden loves Jane. She's also they only one who knows about Allie, and I think that's what he really wants to talk about all the times he's lonely, so he begins to miss her more and more.
